Here are some of the questions we're most often asked. If we've missed something, drop us an e-mail and we'll answer it for you.
As we use the pallet network, all of our products are fastened to a pallet prior to dispatch. We carefully wrap each piece to prevent damage and ensure safe delivery. It is your responsibility to check there is no damage when you receive the goods.
It is your responsibility to dispose of all of the cardboard, plastic and transit packaging in the correct manner, recycling where possible.
We use the PalletWays pallet network to deliver to mainland UK. They operate a fleet of tail-lift trucks and will deliver your furniture to the kerbside outside your house.
You must alert the delivery driver and sign for the goods with an appropriate description of the damage. If there is serious damage, you can refuse to accept the delivery and the pallet will be returned to us. Inform us of the problem immediately and our customer care team will rectify the issue as soon as possible, either by supplying replacement parts or organising a replacement product.
We aim to have the goods with you 7-10 working days from order. If there are any stock issues we will contact you immediately and advise the situation.
All of our production is carried out in-house at our factory in Lincolnshire. Everything is hand made and finished with care and attention to detail.
Most of our furniture is sent out fully assembled and ready to use. Where an item is flatpack, it's stated clearly in the individual product description.
Some items are flatpack to reduce transport costs. In this case, assembly is very simple and full instructions are provided. They will be supplied as major components (ie a back, a base etc - not a box of small pieces of wood!) and they are fairly straightforward to put together.
We only use FSC certified Scandinavian redwood for our furniture. This slow grown timber mostly comes from northern Sweden and is renowned for is grain quality, soundness of knots, straightness and stability.
The FSC system is an internationally recognised system of forest management and a way to ensure that only FSC wood can be used in FSC products.
Everyone in the chain from forest to furniture-maker must carry the same certification and be subject to an rigorous annual audit to check they are doing things in the right way.
This way you can be sure that when you buy an FSC certified chair you are doing the utmost to ensure that the trees are replanted and the forests are managed in a responsible way.
Many manufacturers claim to use 'certified timber' but are not certified themselves. With Dally Outdoor operating under the Admiral Display umbrella, you can be sure that we are audited every year and we're checked to make sure we are doing things properly. We've been certified for over 15 years and believe it's the only credible system making sure forests are managed properly and sustainably.
We use stainless steel screws and galvanised bolts, nuts and other fixings
Yes, all of our products have been pressure treated to protect them from rot.
Even though the wood is treated against rot, they can still get dirty when left outside. We recommend a gentle wash with warm soapy water to clean off any surface dirt. Under no circumstances should you use a pressure washer to blast them. This will get the dirt off but it will also damage the surface grain of the wood.
We recommend an annual clean followed by a reapplication of any water based stain to keep your furniture looking tip top.
Wood is a natural product and takes on moisture in wet times and gives out moisture in dry times. This causes the timber to swell and shrink and is part of the normal process involved with a natural product when it's used outdoors. In dry times you will notice fine surface cracks - these are entirely normal and will not compromise the structure of the furniture.
We have been operating a successful woodworking business on the same site for over 35 years under the Admiral Display name. That side of the business specialises in making bespoke wooden displays for shops and garden centres. We are delighted to be able to use that extensive wood-crafting experience to launch the Dally Outdoor brand in spring 2026.
